TEXAS TORNADO CAKE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 C. sugar
2 eggs
2 C. fruit cocktail
2 tsp. baking soda
2 C. flour
1/4 C. brown sugar
1 C. chopped nuts
Icing
1/2 C. butter
3/4 C. sugar
1/2 C. evaporated milk
1 C. flaked coconut
DIRECTIONS:
Sift baking powder and flour. Add sugar, eggs, and fruit cocktail. Blend well. Pour batter into well-greased, lightly floured 9 x 13 inch pan. Mix the brown sugar with nuts. Sprinkle over batter. Bake at 325 degrees for 40 to 45 minutes. Icing: Boil the butter, sugar, and milk together for 2 minutes. Stir in coconut. Mix well. Spoon over hot cake.
