SWEET AND SOUR BURGERS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
1 (8 oz.) can shredded sauerkraut, drained
1/4 C. water
3 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 env. dried onion mix
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1/2 C. cranberry sauce (whole)
1/4 C. chili sauce
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/4 C. water
6 onion rolls, lightly toasted
DIRECTIONS:
Combine sauerkraut and cranberries, chili and water in saucepan. Bring to a boil and reduce heat. Simmer 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Combine egg, soup mix and water. Let stand 5 minutes. Add ground beef, mixing well. Shape into 6 patties. Grill over medium coals 425 degrees for 5 minutes on each side, or to desired doneness. Place hamburger patties on toasted onion rolls. Serve with sauce. Serves 6.
