SPAGHETTI RECIPE

  INGREDIENTS:

1 lb. deer burger 1 lb. sausage 1 med. onion (chopped) 1/4 C. green pepper (chopped) 1 lg. can tomatoes (2 1/2 size) 1 tsp. garlic powder 1 tsp. oregano 1 tsp. basil 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste Salt and pepper to taste 1 lb. pack spaghetti

DIRECTIONS:

Cook deer burger, sausage, onion and green pepper together until meat is done, drain off grease.
Stir in spices and 1 cup water.
Add tomatoes, cut into pieces.
Over medium heat, bring just to a boil stirring frequently.
Reduce heat.
Simmer uncovered 1 hour.
After the sauce has cooked about 30 minutes, prepare spaghetti according to package directions.
Stir the tomato paste into the sauce, taste, add salt and pepper to taste.
(If a thicker sauce is desired, make a roux by mixing 1 tablespoon flour into 1 tablespoon melted margarine until combined, stir into sauce.
) Pour sauce over drained spaghetti or mix together.
