SCALLOPED OYSTERS RECIPE

  INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 C. saltine cracker crumbs 8 Tbsp. butter 1 pt. oysters Salt and pepper to taste 1/2 C. celery, minced All liquid from oysters Milk

DIRECTIONS:

Put a thin layer of crumbs in bottom of a buttered 2 quart baking dish.
Add a layer of oysters; dot well with butter, salt, pepper, and celery, then another layer of cracker crumbs.
Repeat layer once more, ending with a layer of crumbs.
Pour oyster liquid and milk over last layer of crumbs.
Dot with butter.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes.
Serve immediately.
Serves 6.
