SALMAGUNDI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 green bell pepper chopped
1 medium onion chopped
3 celery ribs chopped
2 carrots shredded, or finely diced
3 medium garlic cloves
1 can black beans (16 oz.) drained, rinsed
1 can corn (16 oz.) drained
1 can diced tomatoes (16 oz.) un-drained
1/4 C. chopped green pimiento-stuffed olives
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt
2 dashes hot pepper sauce
Freshly-ground black pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
Brown the ground beef, place in crock pot. Add remaining ingredients. Mix to combine. Cover and cook on low for 8 to 10 hours (or high for 4 to 5). Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
