PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH CABBAGE RECIPE

  INGREDIENTS:

1 large head cabbage, coarsely shredded 1/2 C. cider vinegar 2 Tbsp. sugar 3 Tbsp. flour

DIRECTIONS:

Place the cabbage in a large kettle.
Combine the vinegar, sugar, and 1 qt.
water and pour over the cabbage.
Bring to a boil and boil vigorously, uncovered for 25 to 30 minutes.
Mix the flour with a little cold water and stir into the hot cabbage.
Cook, stirring, until the mixture thickens.
Serves 8.
