HOT BUTTERED GRITS RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
1 1/3 C. grits
6 2/3 C. boiling water
1 1/2 tsp. salt
3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
DIRECTIONS:
Pour grits into boiling water in a medium saucepan, stirring constantly. Add salt. Reduce heat; cook, stirring until it thickens, 2 or 3 minutes. Cover and cook over low heat, stirring once or twice, for 25 minutes. Pour into a serving dish and dot with butter. Serves 8.
