HALLOWEEN HEAVEN CAKE RECIPE

INGREDIENTS: 1 C. shortening 1/2 C. sugar 4 eggs 3 C. sifted flour 2 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. salt 1/4 C. milk 1/4 C. orange juice 1 C. chopped dates 1/2 C. chopped pecans 2 C. fresh cranberries, halved DIRECTIONS: Cream shortening with sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time. Beat well. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and stir in milk and orange juice. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Blend thoroughly. Fold in chopped dates, pecans and cranberries. Spoon batter into well greased and floured 10 inch tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
