FRIED APPLES RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
1 Tbsp. butter or margarine
3 medium tart cooking apples, cored and cut into thin wedges
2 Tbsp. firmly packed light brown sugar
1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg or ground cinnamon
DIRECTIONS:
In a 10" nonstick skillet, melt the butter over moderately high heat. Add the apples and cook for 3 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring frequently. Stir in the brown sugar and nutmeg or cinnamon. Lower the heat to moderately low and cook, covered, for 2 to 3 minutes more or until apples are tender. Serves 4.
