DATE NUT COOKIES RECIPE

INGREDIENTS:
1 C. diabetic orange marmalade
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 C. shortening
2 C. flour
1 egg
1 C. chopped dates
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 C. nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
DIRECTIONS:
Mix all ingredients together well.
Drop by tsp.
onto greased baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F.
in a preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool.
