CUSTARD PIE RECIPE

  INGREDIENTS:

1 C. liquid egg substitute 2 Tbls. sugar 1/3 C. sugar replacement 1 tsp. vanilla 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. cornstarch 3/4 C. instant dry milk 2 C. water 9-inch piecrust, unbaked ground nutmeg, as desired

DIRECTIONS:

Combine all filling ingredients, and mix thoroughly.
Pour filling into unbaked piecrust.
Sprinkle nutmeg over filling.
Bake at 475 degrees F.
for 10 minutes.
Reduce heat to 425 degrees F.
, and bake another 15 minutes without opening oven door.
Test for doneness by sticking a knife in pie center, baking another 5 minutes if knife does not come out clean.
Cool to room temperature, out of drafts.
Cut into serving pieces.
